When Send Email is selected in the Action field, the Email Template screen is displayed.
Email Template
Recipients
When using the 'Send Email' action, the action can be configured to send an email or SMS message to one or more recipients when the rule is processed.
Tapping/clicking on the plus icon next to Recipients will open a dialogue window allowing you to select between Email or Phone Number recipients.
Tapping/clicking on the Email tab allows the recipients of the email to be selected.
The list of recipients is populated from the list of Permissions added to the customer.
Tap/click the box(s) next to the recipient(s) email address(es) to select who will be notified when the Event rule is processed. If the recipient is not listed, click in the Another Email field and enter the email address.
Tap/click Add to add the selected recipients to this event.
Important Note: You can only add a single recipient that is not listed in the emails from Permissions at a time. If you need to add more than one recipient that is not listed, you will need to Add the first person and then follow the steps above for each Additional Email that needs to be added.
Phone Number
Tap/click the Phone Number tab to configure the Event to send an SMS (text) message when the Event is processed. A text message will be sent to the recipient(s), through an email-to-text process.
Mobile Provider - Tap/click the Mobile Provider field to select the cellular provider for the phone number.
Phone Number - Tap/click the Phone Number field and enter the recipient's phone number in the form: 1234567890 , numbers only, no special characters such as a dash, period, comma, or parentheses.
Tap/click Add to add the cellular phone number to the list of recipients. Repeat for any additional phone numbers that need to be added.
Important Note: Recipients using Verizon Wireless need to be aware that there is a 75-character limit for email-to-text messages. To eliminate this issue, the portion of the message that begins, “This event has been logged…” needs to be deleted, otherwise, the full content of the text message may be truncated.
Subject
When setting up an Event email, the Subject of the email can be configured for the Event. If the subject of the email needs to be changed, tap/click the Subject field to edit the subject field. You can enter both text and variable text options in the Subject. To add specific Variable Text Options, after tapping/clicking where you want the variable text to be there will be a floating + icon above the text cursor. Tapping/clicking this + icon will display the list of variable text options. For information regarding variable text options and how to use them, please refer to the 'Variable Text Options' section below.

Mail Body
The contents of the email/text message can be changed to what is wanted from the default text. Tap/click inside the Mail field, where 'ALERT INFORMATION' appears in the default template, to edit the contents of the message. Tap/click in the textbox below 'Mail' to edit the message that will be sent when the Event is processed. To add specific Variable Text Options to the Mail body, after tapping/clicking where you want the variable text to be there will be a floating + icon above the text cursor. Tapping/clicking this + icon will display the list of variable text options.

Email Template Variable Text Options
The following variable text options can be used in both the Subject and Mail textboxes. These options allow information specific to the Event to be generated without being specifically stated in the template. This can include timestamps, the door or device where the event occurred, the Person associated with the Event being triggered, and more.
<%time%> - This option will display the date and time when the Event which triggered the email occurred.
<%logdoor%> - This option will display the door/device where the Event occurred.
<%logevent%> - This option will display the logged Event type.
<%logresult%> - This option will display the logged result of the Event.
<%loginfo%> - This option will display the logged Event Description that is shown in Reports.
<%logcardno%> - This option will display the card number associated with triggering the Event.
<%logname%> - This option will display the name of the Person associated with triggering the Event.
<%logiolink%> - This option will display the Connection for the Device where the Event occurred to trigger the Event
