Ecards (Emergency Cards) is a unique feature with access control devices to ensure there is always access to doors. In the event that a loss of connection occurs between a device and the Cloud Node for more than four minutes, Ecards can be used to gain access at that door.
Ecard numbers are stored directly to access control devices for the system. Up to 10 Ecards can be entered into the system for each door controller.
Ecards are highly recommended for each system. If a controller loses connection with the Cloud Node, it will go into an emergency state, where it will only accept ecard credentials.
Accessing and Assigning Ecards
From the main pdk io Appliances screen, click or tap Configuration .
In the Configuration screen, click or tap the CONFIG tab. The Ecards section is found in the lower part of the screen.
In the Ecards section, enter the number of each person's card to be entered into the system. (Each card has a number assigned and printed on the front or back of the card.) Up to 10 card numbers may be entered. Click or tap WRITE.
These card numbers are then saved in the flash memory of each controller.
