To set a Static (permanent) IP address on a Cloud Node, contact Technical Support. It will be necessary for Support to either send a link to download or remotely access your computer to install the required software tool (Spanner) that will be able to see the Cloud Node. The 'Spanner' software tool enables a static IP address to be set. Ensure that you are on-site and your computer is on the same network as the Cloud Node so that the "Spanner' tool can see the Cloud Node.
Prior to calling Support, you will need to get a valid IP address (the IP address that will be set using the Support tool), the subnet mask address, the gateway address, and both DNS server addresses from your company's IT person or department.
NOTE: If when you set a static IP on a Cloud Node and the Cloud Node does not come back online immediately, give it a few minutes. If the Cloud Node still does not come online then power cycle the Cloud Node for approximately 10 seconds; the Cloud Node should come back online.
NOTE: If the Cloud Node doesn't power up properly (there is no red light from behind the shroud area), make certain that none of the wires are shorting out, including the battery connection cables. This can cause the main board to not power up.
