IMPORTANT: Pre-charge your backup battery prior to connecting to touch io, or charge the battery before connecting touch io to the Single io door controller. The card reader function of the touch io doesn't work properly when the backup battery is charging with an extremely low battery.
When using a touch io reader, the battery-charging circuit pulls enough power that if you try to run a touch io while the battery is charging, the touch io can experience glitches. If you are also powering up a strike or maglock at the same time, it can draw too much power and cause the board to brown-out. The power used by touch io, along with the battery being charged, may pull too much power. (Touch io uses 300+ma compared to other readers that use approximately 30ma.)
